Brown Seaweed Sargassum-Based Sorbents for the Removal of Cr(III) Ions from Aqueous Solutions

In this study, zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) were biosynthesized with the use of an extract derived from seaweed (Sargassum sp.) and used as a sorbent for removal Cr(III) ions wastewater. The biosorption properties itself well post-extraction residue investigated comparison. Sorption kinetics isotherms studied in order to comprehend nature mechanism. kinetic data well-fitted pseudo-second-order model, highest calculated (137 mg/g), whereas those Sargassum sp. According these findings, superior tested biosorbents can be potential Renewable biomass sustainable biosynthesis environmental protection.
